SCUBA Skills = Life Skills

The goal isn’t to just teach young people how to breathe underwater.
That’s just where the lesson begins.
Through scuba, students learn to manage fear, communicate under pressure, solve problems, take appropriate risks, and persevere when something doesn’t come easily. What starts as a scuba certification becomes an opportunity to develop skills that extend far beyond the water. However, for one to get to that point, they must understand and master basic skills in order to discover how those translate above the water.
Cactus to the Clouds

On November 19, I embarked on an unforgettable journey alongside a friend and a Britt mentor: the Cactus to Clouds hike in Mount San Jacinto State Park, Palm Springs, CA. Spanning 21.2 grueling miles, the hike pushed me to my limits—and then beyond. It was a day of pain, perseverance, and profound lessons that I’ll carry with me for a lifetime.
