Privacy

This page explains what information this website collects, why, who can see it, and how to ask us to delete it. We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising.

Event signups

When you sign up for an event we collect your name, email, phone number, age, whether you are a veteran or young adult, any message you add, and whether you give a photo release. For anyone under 18 we also collect a parent or guardian’s name, phone number and consent. We use this to run the event, contact you about it and keep you safe.

Only Foundation staff can see signups, and trip leaders can see the signups for the events they lead.

Contact and internship messages

Messages sent through our Contact and Internship forms are seen only by Foundation staff and are deleted automatically after 12 months.

Newsletter

If you sign up for expedition updates we keep your email address to send them. Ask us at any time and we’ll remove it.

Donations and scholarships

Donations are handled by Donorbox. We never see or store your card details. Scholarship applications go through the Foundation’s separate application process and are not stored on this website.

Analytics and spam protection

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn’t use cookies or identify you. To block spam, our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile, and we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your connection’s address (not the address itself) to limit how many messages can be sent in an hour.

Ask us to see or delete your information

Send a request through our Contact page and tell us which email address you used. We’ll confirm once it’s done.
