5. What gear do I need to bring?
Participants should bring essential camping gear, clothing suitable for outdoor activities, personal items, and any required safety equipment. A packing list will be provided prior to departure.
Pro tip: Not everything on your packing list needs to be brand new! See what items you can thrift or find at a second-hand gear store.
6. Are there any fees associated with the trip?
Yes, there may be costs associated with transportation, lodging, meals, and activity fees. We work hard to keep these costs as low as possible, and scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance. Detailed information will be provided during the registration process.

No prior experience is needed! Our instructors begin each trip with basic training to prepare students for the activities ahead. Just come ready to learn and have fun—we’ll handle the rest.
13. How can I be physically prepared?
You don’t need to be in peak physical shape, but students are expected to complete physical training courses before the trip to prepare for the adventure.
14. Is prescription medication allowed?

15. Who are the instructors?
Our instructors are highly trained outdoor professionals, including AMGA-certified guides. The vast majority are military veterans, primarily from the Special Operations community, bringing unmatched experience, leadership, and mentorship. They meet all local, state, and federal requirements and are trained to manage risk as an essential part of the learning experience.
16. Do participants need to be motivated to join?
Yes. Motivation is important for participation and will be assessed during the Medical Screening process. Students should be willing to engage fully and be active members of the group.
