Britt Challenge 2021

Celebrating Community and Fitness at the Britt Challenge 2021 Hundreds of individuals gathered in sunny San Diego, CA, to honor the incredible legacy of Christopher Brittingham at the First Annual Britt Challenge 2021. This event was not just a workout; it was a celebration of community, strength, and remembrance.

The challenge featured a ten-minute easy workout designed to accommodate all fitness levels, showcasing the idea that everyone can participate and stay active. Participants engaged in a variety of activities, including running, pull-ups, and weightlifting, making it an exhilarating and engaging experience for all.

The Spirit of Competition

As the competition heated up, the energy in the air was palpable. Participants pushed their limits, with all eyes on the grand prize—a beautifully designed remembrance snowboard. This unique award not only symbolized victory in fitness but also served as a tribute to Chris, inspiring everyone to reach their personal best.

More Than Just a Workout

Beyond the exhilarating workouts, attendees enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with local vendors and delicious tacos, making it a perfect day for friends and families. A silent auction helped raise funds, with all proceeds going towards various causes that were very dear to Chris’s heart.

Legacy of Chris Brittingham

Chris Brittingham, commonly known as Britt, was always ready for a challenge. When faced with a seemingly impossible task, rather than turning around in defeat, Chris would look the challenge in the eye and say, “Bring it on.”

Chris demonstrated this attitude while deployed in Guam. One day, he saw a tree at the top of a mountain and decided to run to the tree and back. When Chris’s teammates said it would take too long, his response was, “Ten minutes. Easy.” Chris took off and sprinted up the mountain, crossing a stream and scrambling over rocks to reach the top. When he returned an hour or so later, he was exhausted and totally spent—but ready for the next challenge.

Chris did not make it back in ten minutes that day. However, his attitude to face the challenge head-on set a new standard for his team. In the same way that Chris pushed himself to the next level, the Britt Challenge encourages participants to push themselves to try something new.

Looking Ahead to Britt Challenge 2022

Overall, the Britt Challenge 2021 was a remarkable event that combined fitness, community spirit, and a celebration of life. We look forward to seeing even more participants next year as we honor Chris’s legacy together.
